Plain terms for your Home Ready Plan and visit. Last updated October 11, 2026.
Home Ready Sonoma is an independent business owned by Devan Hemmings in Forestville, CA. We are not a licensed contractor. Licensed work is done by licensed contractors, and you contract with them directly.
A Home Ready Plan is an educational readiness review of your home and property. It is not a code inspection or an official defensible space inspection. It does not guarantee insurance coverage, discounts, or wildfire survival.
Zone diagrams are drawn from aerial imagery to show the zones. They are illustrative, not to scale, and not a survey or measured drawing.
You choose how to pay at checkout. Pay a $100 deposit to hold your visit, with the rest of your plan price due when your plan is ready. Or pay in full at checkout and save $50. A Home Record, if you add one, is paid at checkout. A final walkthrough, if you add one, is billed after the work is done.
With the deposit, your plan is sent once the rest is paid.
Your price is set by what you tell us about the property and its town. If the property turns out to be much bigger than described, we tell you the new price before your visit, and you can cancel for a full refund.
Cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your visit for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, we keep $100 and refund the rest. If we cancel, everything is refunded. To cancel or reschedule, text 707-394-5094 or email hello@homereadysonoma.com.
If you book a time and do not pay, we release the time after 24 hours.
We need access to the areas we are checking. If we cannot get in, we will reschedule once at no charge.
Prices in your plan are estimates. Licensed contractors confirm final prices.
Half of your plan fee can be credited toward our brush clearing or project management packages on jobs of $1,500 or more, if you book within 60 days of receiving your plan.
Your plan is yours to use with any contractor.
Photos from your visit are used for your report. We keep them private and do not share them without your permission.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. See our Privacy page for how we handle your information.
